How do the "Next issue" and "Previous issue" fields work? I have seen them in the Serials in Microfilm collection. My item, for example, is
https://archive.org/details/je-fais-tout-n-9
and the next issue is
https://archive.org/details/je-fais-tout-n-10

Would I add a field "Next issue" and what would I enter? I've tried HTML and just "je-fais-tout-n-10" but neither is accepted.

add this metadata pair to https://archive.org/details/je-fais-tout-n-9:
next_item=je-fais-tout-n-10

Hi Mr K,
I have no idea how to add a metadata pair.
I did go to edit item and attempt to add a custom field. That made no change except that added field showed on my page as text.

I do have some pages where I use html to give a "Next Episode" thing to click on the page link below.

Is there a metadata editing page for beginners here at the Archive?

Jeff,

What metadata pair is that? If I attempt to add a field "Next issue" I get an error message if I enter text, and an error for HTML. Error message:

Added field name, "next issue", may only contain characters: a-z A-Z 0-9 _ -.

Here is a Serials in Microfilm item that appears to use these fields:

There are many more examples in that collection.

Thank you.

looks as though that metadata key is not enabled for all collections. for now i'd say use html to add a link in the description field.

This item has 2 files. I had thought they would sort alphanumerically, but they didn't. Is there a way I can reverse the order without deleting the file Wm Whitehouse Price List No H-15 and re-uploading it?

Thank you.

they are sorted in the playlist based on the alpha order of the file names. so they are ordered as expected ("Catalogue" precedes "Price").

you can rename the files through the editor and prepend the files with 01, 02, etc. to force an order.

Jeff, thanks. I found that adding "next" will allow HTML, but "next number" won't work. Example:
